TERMINAL ADVISORY 2023 |
Dear Port Users,
Following the last “Transport Industry Engagement” in late 2022, ICTSI SP understood from Port Users (mainly trucking companies) that there was a need for MIT to operate its gates on 24/7 basis for receival and delivery of cargo.
Basis such feedback, ICTSI SP management agreed to operate MIT’s gates on 24/7 basis, as a trial of 2 months (see advisory MITL ADVISORY - GATES OPEN 24/7 | ICTSI SPL )
As of this writing, MIT has been running such trial for 8 weeks now.
After internal review of the data gathered in relation to gates transactions, we have identified the following:
- 93% of gates transaction happen during the Day Shift (08:00 AM - 08:00 PM).
That means that only 7% of the gate transactions happen during the Night Shift (08:00 PM - 08:00 AM).
